Lord Ashton of Hyde

Lord Ashton of Hyde is a Conservative Excepted Hereditary peer who has sat under this title in the Lords since 25 July 2011. His full title is The Rt Hon. the Lord Ashton of Hyde, and his given name is Thomas Henry Ashton. He currently holds the Government post of Captain of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen-at-Arms (HM Household) (Chief Whip, House of Lords). In addition, he is Deputy Chairman of Committees (Lords).
