APPG officer roles
All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) are informal cross-party groups that have no official status within Parliament. They are run by and for Members of the Commons and Lords, though many choose to involve individuals and organisations from outside Parliament in their administration and activities.

Beer
To promote understanding of the significant contribution of brewing and pubs to the UK economy and wider society, including their economic, social, cultural and historic importance, contribution to tourism, the social responsibility exercised by the sector, and also supporting the UK's brewing and pub sectors worldwide.

Night Time Economy
To provide a cross-party voice to champion nightlife’s cultural and economic importance. To promote policy opportunities and solutions, working in partnership with cross-sector stakeholders. To support and unlock equitable growth through the Night Time Economy (NTE). To protect and support NTE spaces and ecosystems from immediate threats.

To act as a high-level forum for discussion between university leaders and parliamentarians on issues affecting the higher education sector.
