APPG officer roles
All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) are informal cross-party groups that have no official status within Parliament. They are run by and for Members of the Commons and Lords, though many choose to involve individuals and organisations from outside Parliament in their administration and activities.

Children
To raise greater awareness in the Houses of Parliament of aspects of the well-being of the nation's children and young people, ensuring the voice and experience of children are at the heart of policy making; and to work with children, children's organisations, and politicians from all sides, to promote first-class government policy for children.

To improve awareness, understanding and support for kinship care. To promote policy and practice which supports more children to live safely in kinship care with family and friends, when they cannot live at home. To amplify the voices and experiences of children and families.

The APPG is a forum for MPs and Peers to work together on a cross-party basis to strengthen the capital's voice in Parliament. The group’s purpose is to promote the capital in the interests of all Londoners.
