APPG officer roles
All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) are informal cross-party groups that have no official status within Parliament. They are run by and for Members of the Commons and Lords, though many choose to involve individuals and organisations from outside Parliament in their administration and activities.

To foster a greater understanding of the country of Bangladesh and provide a conduit for the Bangladeshi community here in the UK.

To engage with government and parliament to support all aspects of boxing; set out the benefits of boxing to individuals and wider society; reduce barriers to participation in boxing; celebrate the success of our nation’s boxers; and highlight the potential for boxing clubs to promote diversity, inclusion and regeneration in the UK.

To inform parliament and parliamentarians of, and harness their support for, the aspirations and challenges of British Muslim communities; to promote and celebrate their contributions; and to investigate the forms, manifestations and extent of prejudice, discrimination and hatred against Muslims in the UK.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Professionals
To advance equality, diversity and inclusivity (EDI) in government policy considerations from those in EDI roles. To ensure the knowledge and expertise of EDI professionals is nationally recognised to support improvements in the delivery of services and work relations.

To establish facts about the UK Hajj and Umrah sectors, promote and enable an industry led partnership with government to set minimum standards and good practice for Hajj and Umrah services sold in the UK, promote active and precautionary health and wellbeing, and have appropriate consular and other support services.
