Mike Wood is the Conservative MP for Kingswinford and South Staffordshire, and has been an MP continually since 7 May 2015. He currently undertakes the roles of Opposition Whip (Commons), and Shadow Minister (Cabinet Office).

Ethnicity Transplantation and Transfusion
Highlighting how the lack of donor participation affects patients with ethnically diverse backgrounds. Raising awareness of health inequalities faced by mixed and minority ethnic patients requiring an organ, stem cell or bone marrow transplant or a blood transfusion. Advocating equitable access of treatment for mixed and minority ethnic patients.

Sepsis
To provide a medium through which parliamentarians, organisations and those affected by Sepsis can discuss the current provision for the condition, which claims 48,000 lives in the UK every year, promote public understanding and advocate for simple, timely interventions to be implemented as standard across the NHS; whilst considering Sepsis as a critical component of the response to infections management including infection prevention and a patient-centred approach to antimicrobial stewardship.

Speech and Language Difficulties
To make parliament aware that the ability to communicate is a crucial life skill for all; to increase awareness about the impact communication difficulties have on other people's lives; to highlight the importance of early identification and intervention; and to press for increased provision of speech and language therapy.
