Lord Boateng's full title is The Rt Hon. the Lord Boateng. His name is Paul Yaw Boateng, and he is a current member of the House of Lords.

All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) are informal cross-party groups that have no official status within Parliament. They are run by and for Members of the Commons and Lords, though many choose to involve individuals and organisations from outside Parliament in their administration and activities.

To facilitate mutually beneficial relationships between Africa and the UK by amplifying African perspectives to further understanding of contemporary UK-African relations and pan-African matters within UK parliament. The group also seeks to challenge negative stereotypes pertaining to Africa where they persist.

To develop friendship and understanding between the Republic of Iraq and the UK, and to promote mutually beneficial economic and political aims.
South Africa
To foster mutually beneficial relationships between the UK and the Republic of South Africa, in particular between the two parliaments, civil society, business and commerce, and arts and culture.

To strengthen relations with St Kitts and Nevis; to encourage political interest in the country; to meet with visiting politicians; to meet with the High Commissioner of St Kitts and Nevis; and to discuss St Kitts and Nevis and UK politics.

Trade out of Poverty
Organises seminars, inquiries, research and education campaigns to raise awareness in Parliament on removing barriers to trade and using trade as an engine for development in poor countries. The APPG aims to help developing countries achieve inclusive growth and prosperity through trade and investment.
