Andrew Rosindell is the Conservative MP for Romford, and has been an MP continually since 7 June 2001. He currently undertakes the role of Shadow Parliamentary Under Secretary (Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs).

To strengthen relations between the parliamentarians and peoples of Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific region; to discuss areas of mutual interest between the United Kingdom and the Pacific region; to host their respective politicians who are visiting the United Kingdom; and to constructively work with the High Commissions, Honorary Consuls, and Agents-General.

To promote the Commonwealth through engagement with Commonwealth partners and non­government stakeholders; to take advantage of opportunities within the widening Commonwealth network; to ensure the argument is made for Britain's diplomatic realignment towards the Commonwealth; and to ensure that there is a hub for dialogue between Commonwealth interest groups.
